SCHOOL COUNCIL
Living Waters Lutheran School is governed by a council which is elected from members of the Alice Springs Lutheran Church. The Principal and School Pastor attend as ex-officio members. A list of the school council members can be found in the school directory.
STUDENT REPRESENTATIVE COUNCIL
The students elect the Student Representative Council (SRC) from the student body. Two representatives from each class (Years 1-6) form the main student decision-making body within the school, with the Year 6 representatives being nominated school leaders at official functions.
HOUSE SYSTEM
The children at school are placed in house groups. The houses are Albrecht All Stars (yellow), Flynn Flames (red), and Larapinta Lizards (blue). House leaders are elected by Year 4-6 children. House lists can be found in the School Directory.
THE SCHOOL DAY
Unless by prior arrangement with the Principal, children should arrive at school between 8:00and 8:20am and leave between 2:50 and 3:20pm.

ABSENTEEISM
If a child is going to be absent for a day or part of a day, the school should be notified:
a. by phone on the morning of the day
b. by a note to the teacher or front office
c. by prior notification to the teacher (i.e.: an appointment)
Late children should report to the front office so we know they have arrived. If the school has not been notified of an absence or lateness by 9:30am, the secretary will contact families to ensure the child is safe at home.
If you know in advance that your child will be absent from school for an extended time, please inform BOTH the child's class teacher and the front office in writing.
